About the Author
Maire Brennan is the lead singer of family band, Clannad, perhaps most famed for 'The Theme From Harry's Game'. 1986's collaboration with U2's Bono for the hit song 'In A Lifetime' also brought Maire's distinctive voice to a wider audience and in 1999 she found herself back on Top of the Pops with top dance outfit Chicane with a remake of Harry's Game. In recent years she has become a successful solo artist.

A Touching and Beautiful Story

I've been a fan of Maire and Clannad since I discovered their music from the Robin of Sherwood series in 1985. This book is so much more than an overview of the band's history. It is a deeply personal account of lessons learned in Maire's life and an inspirational story of how those experiences ultimately brought her to a strong and abiding faith in God. The breathtaking highs of the band's success and accomplishments are thrilling. Yet, the details of the difficult times in Maire's own personal faith journey highlight the fact that fame and other things of this world still leave us quite empty. Maire's candor in relaying the painful experiences that resulted from bad personal choices is admirable. The warmth and support of her family and their love for each other is evident throughout her story. I loved this book. I became a Christian in the early 1990s and I can relate to much of Maire's own experience. It's a wonderful account of how the grace of God covers our past and how He comes into our lives to restore and touch us in the broken places. This is a fantastic book.

Refreshing!

From the minute I started reading this book, I could not put it down! Moya Brennan's honesty about her life is such a breath of fresh air, especially today, where so many people in the public eye, today, are boastful and self righteous in their autobiographies. Moya candidly admits that she is a work in progress, and the reader feels like a friend is speaking to them in confidence, instead of reading a book about someone's life whom they have never even met. It is a book to which most of us can identify, in one or more aspects, and leaves you feeling hopeful about your own life, as you read the last page, and close the book.

Fascinating Autobiography From Ireland's National Treasure

What a gift Moy� has given us with her autobiography. Learning about her life and the world of the great Irish band Clannad has given me a whole new appreciation for her and her family. Her Christian awakening is what is especially fascinating under the circumstances she found herself in. Very inspiring.
