By contrast, “imitation” processed cheeses, known as analogues, are made from mixtures of dairy and non-dairy proteins, fats and oils, and are widely used in the fast food and catering industries, or as ingredients in other food products. p>Processed Cheese and Analogues, which is written by a team of international specialists, comprehensively reviews the latest scientific developments in this field. It examines the functionality of ingredients (including emulsifying salts, stabilisers, flavourings and colouring matter), and the interactions between the natural cheeses and the processing conditions during manufacture of processed cheese and analogues. My Favorite Baby Afghan Book

I have many afghan books, both knit and crochet. This book is absolutely the best. I have made many of the afghans in this book. All the patterns are different, with clear instruction in type you can easily read. Most use sport or worsted weight yarn. As the previous reviewer stated, Caron Simply Soft yarn works up beautifully in these patterns and creates the softest afghan you can imagine.

This is the best--hands down, the best--baby afghan book ever. I've made several using patterns from here, and all have been lovely. I made the Aran-style crib cover for my now three-year-old cousin, and was asked by her mom to make another one for the newest baby. Of course, I no longer had this book. After much angst, and no more to go on than a glimmer of a title and a memory of the cover, I decided to search Amazon. Lo and behold--The Book! So thank you, Amazon.com, for coming through again, and for enabling me to get another copy. (This one's going in the safety deposit box!)

I have this book and have knitted a couple of the baby afghans in the book for grand-nephews. They love them. Patterns are easy to follow. Using Caron yarn makes them very soft, cuddly, and washable.

A memoir of war, terror, family and hope

A fascinating, true story about a Lithuanian family being forced from their home during World War II, as told from the point of view of the youngest son. We experience his fear and confusion about the horrific and frightening events unfolding around him, as well as the ordinary moments that make the days more bearable -- swimming in a lake at sunset, exploring new and mysterious surroundings, singing with fellow scouts, sharing precious food with new acquaintances. It is interesting to read about how, despite the circumstances of war, people find strength from within and from family to forge ahead and make a life, no matter what terrible surprises life has in store.

I really love this publication. There are a few errors in the names of some churches which those who do not know the places wouldn't pick up. However, such a pictorial was long overdue. Basic Guide

I purchased this book to supplement a MOOC course of Introduction to Philosophy. I found it useful to read as each lecture progressed. However, I feel that the study guides at the end of each chapter would have been more beneficial if answers were included in the back of the book. This would enable the reader to check his/her understanding.

Would recommend to anyone taking a MOOC class in Introduction to Philosophy.

This book was purchased to accompany the online class from Coursera "Introduction to Philosophy" - it stands on its own as an interesting read which review many important topics as they are viewed from a Philosophical perspective. And for the class it was a perfect companion guide as it takes the reader beyond the lectures and into the deeper meanings of things as each chapter is written by the various professors who teach the course. A great little book that covers a lot of ground, and does so in an interesting manner.

BEAUTIFUL, beautiful book. Many flowers to make with clear instructions. Not lots of photos, but at least one of each flower. Directions are very detailed. Even this is an older book I'm very glad I bought it. Permanent place on my shelf!
